Kendry Chourio threw 5 perfect innings tonight in his 3rd start for the @ColaFireflies. 4 K 0 BB. He now has 50 K/2 BB between the DSL, Complex, and Low A this season. Absolutely incredible season for the 17 year old.

Excited for him to get to Omaha so I have a better idea on the tweaks he made to his fastball. My eyes tell me he’s sinking it more often, and better, and having a ton of success with the entire arsenal because of it. This kid is gonna make starts for the Royals next summer.

This is one of the best “grow your own” pitchers the Royals have developed in a long time. I remember watching him debut with Columbia, and he’s just gotten consistently a little better every year in the org. Obviously works his tail off. Such a cool story.
