📜"The Color of Pomegranates" is based in a poem by Sayat-Nova and it tries to portray the poet's life visually and poetically rather than literally. What drawn me to this movie was exactly this and also how aesthetically pleasing it still is and always will be.

📽️Parajanov was rightfully named one of the best filmmakers of the 20th century because of his unique style, frontalism and of course his socialist realism; which made the USSR persecute and jail him.

🩸Sergei Parajanov's movies can be quite slow and long, but if you have never seen one, I really recommend you do. Specially "The Color of Pomegranates"

The most important thing in my work apart from light or shadows or geometry are human beings; I analyse people a lot because I am always trying to understand and empathise with whoever I have in front of me. Even unconsciously.
