I will forever be proud of my role in this with @_petermason. Genuinely hope that the report & subsequent action plan will be used for all political parties as a new blueprint to combat racism in politics. What happened to Labour should serve as a warning. https://t.co/3U7OfHyMEo

This is a government determined to modernise our NHS and boost patient care. By cutting duplication, our plans will mean an extra £1 billion a year for our NHS frontline. There are green shoots emerging with our NHS - and we’re only just getting started

The central theme of this article by @Neal_Compass is that "Labour is dying because it’s being denied the oxygen of debate and difference." That's quite difficult to reconcile with the reality that a pluralistic PLP overturned the leadership on welfare, and that the current and
In 2020, Labour was hijacked by a tiny clique of people and turned away from its historic mission to create a fairer society, let alone one that is much more equal.🖊️ @Neal_Compass

We still all remember the psychodrama and its consequences on our cost-of-living, rising interest rates on mortgages, higher debt, crashed markets and our pensions. History matters. Let's not go back.

Very sad news. John Marshall was dedicated to public service, good company & political to his fingertips. Such an interesting political career, which started as a councillor in Aberdeen. I enjoy campaigning with him for Remain in the Brexit referendum. Like many, I will miss him.
The London Mayors Association is sad to hear of the death of our member John Marshall former Mayor of the London Borough of Barnet 2008/09.John was a Member of the European Parliament 1979/89 ,Memeber of Parliament for Hendon South 87/97 and Freeman of the Borough @BarnetCouncil

Jeevun and Rachel are right. OBR reporting needs reform. Principle of the OBR is fine, but there needs to be more elasticity.
I agree with @RachelReevesMP, the OBR needs to move to one forecast a year. Find out more ⬇️ @politicshome

The appalling incident on a train near Huntingdon is deeply concerning. My thoughts are with all those affected, and my thanks go to the emergency services for their response. Anyone in the area should follow the advice of the police.

Progressives are not effectively speaking to the challenges and aspirations of many young men in Britain. With figures across the far right queuing up to take advantage of the vacuum, I’ve written for @NewStatesman about why we need to fix that, fast 👇 https://t.co/lWQHRHewa1

Good that this is finally moving but having taken the Eurostar this week and a few months ago, its evident that St Pancras is wholly inadequate to accommodate Virgin and an expanded Eurostar timetable. Time to finally bring Stratford International online. https://t.co/Aq7NKlhCvE

Five years after the EHRC published the report that followed their investigation of the Labour Party, @adamlangleben and I share our thoughts on what it meant then, and what it should mean now. One day we will write the book and @JewishLabour’s role in it. For now, read this:

I just received an email from Labour's General Secretary Hollie Ridley. It was an all members email. It didnt ask for money. It didnt try to get me to a phonebank or campaign session. It was to remind each and every Labour Party member what the EHRC report meant.
