Sometimes kids will find the most amazing ways to lift you up. In my class there has always been a lone blue tile. Today this appeared on it... #MondayMotivaton @NipherMiddle

Wondering what young people are thinking about ways to fight #climatechange? Here's a message from some 7th graders I know about #sustainability and #energy.

A post was shared with me about how to include "Screen Time" in a student's grading. While I will not post a link I did get a screenshot to annotate. No matter what, this is exactly what NOT to do!! #techquity #digitalequity #culturalrelevance #remotelearning

Meeting the needs of diverse learners will seem much more manageable after viewing this module created by @klockekelly (@baylessschools), Olga McFadden (@waynesvilleHigh), @Adam_Scimone (@kirkwoodschools), and @MrsLawson143 (@officialSPS). https://t.co/17UmF4PoxG

Just now at the grocery store I saw someone verbally abuse an employee. I told the employee “you don’t deserve to be treated that way” and as I walked away I heard the customer immediately apologize. Don’t underestimate how your actions can influence others!

One of the shifts in my thinking this year as a coach and an educator is to stop focusing so much on how I work and start focusing on how I can know the impact of my work. Very hard to do right now when most of us are obsessed with “best practice.”

An excellent compilation of comments from more than 100 teachers and students who share their reflections about this period of remote learning. They describe several problems with virtual learning along with potential solutions. Thanks to @edutopia! https://t.co/w2QTxOJDvR

We listen too much to people who think fast and shallow, and too little to people who think slow and deep. Being quick on their feet may make them sound smart, but it doesn’t mean they’re wise. #SaturdayThoughts

Talking with Ss today abt compliance vs engagement in school. end of the convo a S raises her hand and tells the class “I like compliance. Its easy. If that’s what most of school is then why do I need to know how to engage?”

Research tells us that Ts with higher creative identity are more likely to teach creativity to children but may be less likely to be hired by school administrators because they aren’t rule followers. - @ToddKettler #sadtruth #NAGC2019 @ITEFSTL
