As a charity we need your support to continue our work. Four years ago we weren’t here. Since Act For Change’s inception we’ve witnessed several positive shifts in the arts, and yet not nearly enough. If we are to remain as a campaign & charity we need your donations.

@bruko Meanwhile in the uk, we are debating the ‘dangerous impact’ of greater representation of women in TV…. Not poverty, not austerity, not the cuts to your services, not institutional racism, nope… https://t.co/miIKlChAq7

Mixed race people are the fastest growing ethnic population in the UK and US, yet there's so little representation of our authentic, lived experience in TV and film. So this means a lot. Thank you @ScreenwritersN

Remember - your agent is a real person at the other end of the phone or emails. Just be nice. They're working round the clock for their performers at all times. And it's not easy with the daily changing landscape of the industry at the moment.

“The UK’s disabled population is woefully underrepresented in the broadcasting industry. Despite encouraging initiatives in recent years, both TV and Radio are still reporting industry-wide representation at 7% -less than half the UK benchmark of 19% in 2020/21.”

Ofcom says that broadcasters are more representative in its workforce generally, but not at senior levels. It says disabled population is "woeful" too and that socio-economic diversity remains a problem. https://t.co/8jqhS60Vd6

UK broadcasters face a worrying loss of diverse talent, particularly women, our report reveals. Staff in the industry are now more reflective of the UK’s ethnic diversity, but there’s still more work to be done - especially at senior levels. ➡️

A wonderful news from the other side of the world - George Webster became the @BBC UK's first child presenter with Down Syndrome. A landmark moment for TV and representation. This makes us so happy!  https://t.co/f5IwEDLTYA #downsyndrome #inclusion #nayidisha

Great article, highlighting the strange reality that South Asians aren't represented on TV, despite being one of the largest ethnic minorities in the UK. Why We Need More South Asian Representation On British Television. https://t.co/pYk7MYAbU1 via @refinery29uk

In a large proportion of mainstream films and television shows, South Asians appear as extras – a token of diversity.
