Bill C-20 has now received Royal Assent! We are one step closer to providing eligible Canadians with disabilities a one-time, tax-free payment of $600. We will continue to work hard to support all Canadians. 🇨🇦

Absolutely no excuse is right @davidLepofsky. Come on @TTChelps you had 20 years to do this! People with disabilities don’t deserve excuses!

The TTC’s push to make Toronto’s transit system fully accessible by 2025 is in jeopardy, with the agency warning it will be “very challenging” to make the required improvements at two subway stations by the provincially set deadline.

I am hoping to compile a list of orgs that are run by or support people with #disabilities in Canada. I'm want to engage to build relationships and foster a strong focus on people's lived experience, the benefits of co-creation +and research. Interested in getting involved? #a11y

Good news: our advocacy for an accessibility policy for social events at @OsgoodeNews was successful! Moving forward, all student government-run events will be held at accessible venues, and student club events will only receive funding if held in accessible spaces. #a11y

The team behind Le Beau dreamed of a space where daily conversations could happen over the best coffee, handcrafted pastries & beautiful plates of food...and those decadent Viennoiseries 🥐. Full accessability review on the website. Link in bio. #accessTO #accessibility #toronto

#TheRoastedNut is a unique café & nuttery offering health-minded snacks that showcase the art of traditional dry-roasting methods. In #WestQueenWest, this inviting space is great for a midday nutty experience. #Accessibility review on the website. #accessTO #Toronto #inclusion

My thoughts in light of the B.C. Taxi Association saying it will no longer subsidize #accessible vehicles. People with #disabilities deserve the same access to places as anyone else. The ability to use @Uber & @lyft has changed my life for the better. #ridehailing #ubervancouver

#CafeBoulud went through a bit of an overhaul - still elegant yet informal, it's is an accessible restaurant on all counts. There is space to store your mobility device and/or stroller at the front entrance. #accessTO #accessability #Toronto #inclusion #Torontofoodie #foodie
