@dr_costello After students initially learn the content, we need to provide opportunities for students to make connections between previous learning and opportunities for students to RETRIEVE the content. @dr_costello .#CCTM21.

This also means students have difficulty retaining content. When we "review" before the test, we're really "cramming" for the test as a whole class. @dr_costello . #cctm21.

The Illusion of Mastery:.when we only have block practice, the students don't need to wonder about the best way to solve the problems. @dr_costello. #CCTM2021.

@kdykema Sometimes it's maddening to watch our students flail about and struggle to find patterns. But. it's vital to the learning process. #CCTM21.

We value the struggle of learning in most of life: learning to swim/drive/walk/etc. We help our children learn by providing structure/supports to help it be productive. Our job as teachers is to help the struggle to be productive. @kdykema. #CCTM21.
