I was able to clarify after the hearing that Dept 2 is the "long cause" docket where trials that will take longer can be assigned for quicker settings, rather than waiting for the assigned judge's availability. With all of the issues consolidated, they may need a week for trial.

The case is being transferred to Dept. 2 for a setting hearing on August 12th.

We are continuing this hearing to the time of trial on all outstanding issues. The temporary support order is continued until the hearing. The DVRO is being extended to August 12th and thereafter to trial - Judge Stine has expressed concern that it not expire.

We are going on the record in court momentarily with whatever has been decided.

It's looking like the can is going to get kicked down the road again because of the little time available today and so they can hear the DVRO and financial issues at the same time.
