How important is humility in your surgeon? Turns out, very. Humility in surgery improves patient outcomes and provider relationships. Intentionally training this value in future surgeons is often ignored but could benefit patients and health systems. https://t.co/q7fnBvRXuq

I’m an emergency medicine doctor. When you come to my ER, I will take care of you even if your beliefs are different than mine. My job is to take care of patients. If you would deny a patient care because they have different beliefs than you, then you should not be in medicine

Let me understand this: You want us to do everything for our patients (your friends, your family, your neighbors) pour in donated blood from volunteers open up body cavities to stop the bleed, But make 0 changes to firearm access. Got it. Brb looking up “moral injury.”

It should be a fun thing to be able to see your friends on national TV regularly. But when you're a trauma surgeon in America, your friends are on TV because another tragedy has occurred. We truly, truly do not have to live this way.
