I was born in Shifa. I’ve learned medicine there. We have memories there; the first time to take history & examine patients. It has a great library that is full of valuable medical textbooks. It has a cafeteria where we met friends and spent nice times. Shifa is under invasion.

Shifa Hospital is the most advanced health facility in the whole Gaza Strip, as it provides secondary & tertiary health services. It contains neurosurgery,pediatric surgery, coronary angiography, cardiosurgery, thoracic surgery, oncology etc. Shifa is invaded now by Israeli army.

I felt -temporarily- happy that me and my friends had a picnic during the ‘temporary’ ceasefire after 50 days of war. There were no cars to move, because there is no fuel. Surrender? No. So we used a horse cart to move that was too fast, it was a lovely and funny experience.
