With leading Chinese models being open source it is hard to argue that Chinese AI efforts are not net good for society. US needs it’s open source candidate.

Grok 4 beats a lot leading AI models in multiple benchmarks (shows that investment in compute pays dividends). Meanwhile Kimi a leading Chinese open source model also beats SOTA models in a few benchmarks with having much lower compute requirements because it use mixture of.
