The Niger Watered Lands
Joined March 2009
For this dream, Orkar died...
If only there could be a massive revolt in the North that would destroy the decayed structure, which has supported the unending insecurity & forceful unity of 🇳🇬 we could have balkanise 🇳🇬, merge willing Northern states with Niger Republic bringing our frontier to North Africa

Let them go & pay it in those countries
This new tax law will create another wave of exodus. From talent to startups. Those who don’t earn in Nigeria that you’re trying to reap from will leave. The 2020 exodus will be a joke. By the time this exodus is complete, we will be left with mostly bottom tier “talents”. 🚶♂️🚶♂️

Don't love or hate anyone too strongly Focus on the projects that your regions and states need Build on that, not on politicians per se We hated Buhari but he eventually gave states power to do rail, electricity, etc Flesh will fail eventually and you will feel hurt and lost

Performative act to give a pretend veneer of courage over abject habitual cowardice. Folks that will soon resume reporting - "a soldier kidnapped from a tank", "unprovoked invasion" -or using obfuscating words like "collateral damage" in the next war the US has an interest in
The journalists who cover the Pentagon had to choose today between signing a pledge that would make it impossible to do independent journalism and turning in their Pentagon press badges. Almost all of them turned in their badges and left the building.

Our whistle blowers tend to be erstwhile conspirators whose fellow co-conspirators cheated out of the proceeds of their collective crime. Disgusting behaviour that our state is unfortunately too inept to punish, why it's now part and parcel of our culture...

If I had my way, I'd not introduce institutional fragmentation to an essentially municipal transport system. The logic of integrating rail, road, and waterway is too strong for this. Transport for London is a model.

😅😅😅..... The US has grasped victory from the jaws of defeat in this SMO, and is pushing the Eunuchs of Europe to keep footing the bill of defeat...
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth called on NATO allies to increase spending on purchases of US weapons for Ukraine, following a report that highlighted a sharp decline in military support for Kyiv in July and August https://t.co/8FLBkkgv0R

I'm always awe-struck by our commitment at mis-remembering history It didn't sink into oblivion when half the party left to form the broom-waving annexe they called nPDP or- when Wike & Fayose were all that remained of PDP Or- when hitherto broom-waving crowd returned in 2021
We Warned That if the PDP Did Not Zone to the Southeast Specifically, The Party Will Sink Into Oblivion post-Buhari -Dahiru The crisis happening in the PDP today is a symptom of a deeper ailment. The violation of zoning is like a mortal sin that the PDP committed. Majeed Dahiru,

Car upgrades (aka bumper and fender swaps) - good... but, 'Upgrade' of Old XR in new iPhone 17 body - bad A sorry case of my "chronic mental illness" is less severe than yours...
lol why is anyone trying to "upgrade" an old XR to look like a iPhone17? Who are you trying to deceive? I can understand upgrading cars as the upgrades come with newer functionality and tools, but upgrading a phone case? Must be chronic mental illness for both buyers and sellers!

Atiku winning the primary and not immediately offering the running mate ticket to the runner up was the fatal sin... Dealt a body blow to the party that may as well be fatal...
PDP giving its ticket to Atiku in 23 has evidently been the worst decision in Nigerian political history. The leaders of the party completely misread the political landscape & it It has cost the party its strongest bases in the south &all its prized jewels even without elections.

@dwarkesh_sp I think it boils down to Jobs' quote: “You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards." Most of college is learning theory long before you know how it'll help you concretely in practice. Real-world experience puts things into context.

in 1917. The eastern line was then extended northwards from Enugu to the Jos plateau to make export of tin more efficient. Tin that was hitherto laboriously carried to Loko river port and floated to Forcados for export

The type of content I love. The British needed a port city to anchor their planned eastern railway line to export coal discovered at Udi, Enugu, as Lagos was deemed too far. Started construction from the just founded and newly named city - Port Harcourt - in 1913 reaching Enugu/
