the boards to help ensure students do certain things. For example in pic 2, you'll see there's a column for students to check their answers (lesson is thin sliced based on @CPMmath about extraneous solutions). 4/4 @BTCthinks

put in one central location, usually 3-4 at a time (could be displayed horizontally or vertically). I've found that my freshmen do way better with a central banner, while my Integrated Math 3 class can do either method just fine. I've also been playing around with organizing 3/4

and the students write the problem that they see in another group's banner or you give a new one. They do their work below. (Note- @pgliljedahl recommends not numbering the problems, I've done it both ways.) Another way is the "central banner" (2nd pic) where the problems are 2/4

For those curious about HOW to give tasks/problems to students in a #thinkingclassroom: any time the problem is short, I use the "banner method." There are a few different kinds. The regular banner (pic) is the students draw a line across the top of their board... 1/4

Needed to review domain & range with my Integrated Math 3, so put everyone in random groups with a graph on the board and multiple choice options (which included common errors). My only launch was "you may or may not remember what domain even is... 1/2 @pgliljedahl @btcthinks
