🧵1/Today, we published a key milestone towards AI based cardiac screening in Nature. https://t.co/Lr3ymIrgz5 EchoNext outperformed cardiologists and found thousands of high-risk patients missed in routine care. We also made a version available to the world.

Statins serve as a solid start to lipid-lowering therapy, but many patients need more. Doubling the dose only additionally lowers LDL-C by about 6%, and that pattern holds even at 4x and 8x the dose. For many patients struggling with persistently high LDL-C, higher dose statins

Thrilled to share CAC percentiles for US South Asians. We know being SA is a risk enhancing factor, but guidelines recommended using White percentiles as this data didn’t exist. It turns out, SA typically have higher CAC at any given percentile after age 45. @OslerResidency
Excited to share the first time ever 🥁 "Sex-Specific CAC Percentiles Across South Asian Adults in U.S." 65% of men and 30% of women have CAC >0 by 55 ~75th percentile for 55yo SA men or 65yo SA women is absolute CAC score of 100 link: https://t.co/9lhrGqQTcK
