Bitcoin is 0.1X the market cap of gold and 100x better. 1000x discrepancy.

This is a funny one. We should see if the impulses (and therefore music) changes over time in response to the sound. i.e. are the mushrooms "learning" how to play? Is there any feedback loop?.

🍄 ‍🤔 Engineers from the UK have "taught" mushrooms to play musical instruments Everything works due to special sensors that read electrical impulses in the caps, and then turn into commands for motors.

People don’t have things want a system that promises to give them things. Really the issue isn’t capitalism, it’s a monetary system that siphons value from the poor and gives it to the rich. People misappropriate their struggles to capitalism because it’s just the current.

Peter Thiel on why 70% of Millennials say they are pro-socialist: . “When one has too much student debt or if housing is too unaffordable, then one will have negative capital for a long time… and if one has no stake in the capitalist system, then one may well turn against it.”

The rise in popularity of ideas like this, in the context of today’s decentralizing internet world, makes me think we see more rapid iteration and testing of ideas in smaller more contained pockets than in the past. In this case it’s an old idea from the past tried on much.

I don’t say this lightly: . Zohran Mamdani’s proposal for New York City to drive down food prices by having the city run its own grocery stores is the most economically delusional thing I’ve seen in a long time. What planet do these people live on?

This sounds like the kind of event that, in retrospect, is historically defining. Like the burning of the library of Alexandria, but in reverse…, but with potentially bad side effects.

We will use Grok 3.5 (maybe we should call it 4), which has advanced reasoning, to rewrite the entire corpus of human knowledge, adding missing information and deleting errors. Then retrain on that. Far too much garbage in any foundation model trained on uncorrected data.

I kind of wish we could pause AI base model development just to see how far we could go with the current ones. I’m confident we could create far more than most people expect. But we won’t even see this happen because the models are developing so rapidly changing how we build.

Many of the top people in AI, including CEOs of the biggest companies, have a few basic characteristics in how they talk about what's coming. 1. It's the most powerful and important thing to ever happen. 2. *shrug* Basically admitting we have no idea what we're building or how.

Bitcoin now at $105,525.00. Those of you in the old school who believe this is a bubble simply have not understood the new mathematics of the Blockchain, or you did not cared enough to try. Bubbles are mathematically impossible in this new paradigm. So are corrections and all.

It’s very hard to explain Bitcoin to people because it’s such a radical shift. To truly grasp what it represents you need a lot of historical context that takes time to build.

Amazing moment with o3:. I was having it critique some of my thoughts in a conversation relating to a specific study recently released. I didn't share the study with it, and there was very little information to infer which study it was. Yet, it was able to figure out which study.

Just because the opinions of large groups of people tend to shift from one position to another with old age doesn’t mean that it’s the correct position. Sometimes the younger perspective is right and people become too close to the issue as they age and lose the whole.
