Thank you to everyone who's shared & donated so far for your generosity. But Archita's stuck at 69% to her goal and has had only 1 donation since I last shared 2 days ago. Please keep sharing & donating so she can get some security in this terrible time.
Fellow Calcuttan writer/editor Archita Mittra is in desperate need of financial help. She recently lost her father, her home was damaged in the recent rains, & her mother's in hospital. They don't have insurance, & she's a freelancer. Please share & give:

I urge everyone to seek out every book on the shortlist. You'll find each of them worth your time, & each of them a significant, beautiful part of this accursed century's literature. Whatever happens, great art still exists, against all odds, & that is to be celebrated.

Been thinking about why I loved Rakesfall so much. It isn't just how hallucinatory it is, or how meta it is, or weird. It's because of its mythic aspect. It's not just a confrontation of how myth can be used for power, but the mythic is alive and concurrent in it. 1/2
