Ever wondered how many contracts are deployed on #Ethereum? . With a little help from @insightsflow 's #EthereumDataWarehouse @n4motto from @electriccapital has the answer for you:.
1/ Over 44 MILLION contracts have been deployed to @Ethereum since genesis 🤯 . I analyzed all 44M using @InsightsFlow so you don’t have to. Turns out, 70% of live contracts (~15M) are copies from one of 15 templates. 🧵 Here’s a breakdown of the dominant contract codes

Ethereum's storage, with memory locations as hashes of variable slots & keys, isn't easily deciphered. To list all the token holders you had to run complex queries, build local databases and reconstruct the state by aggregating historical events. Or you could use TokenFlow.

But this is just the 🧨beginning🧨. We also collect all state and storage diffs (11.5B rows) and reads (15.6B rows). And what’s more important is that they are all pre-hashed which means that you see all mapping keys and finally you can iterate through hashmaps.

In practice it radically changes the approach to analyzing 📈 contract history, because you no longer have to aggregate 🥱 events to get the state (e.g. token holders and balances) but you can just query the state directly. It is much faster and infinitely more reliable.
