We also provide specific conditions that an MPS must satisfy to be preparable with our scheme. Special shoutout to co-first author Abid Khan for helping me figure all of this out, and for teaching me a lot of group theory along the way.

Here, we extend this idea to a diverse family of MPS that includes both short- and long-range entangled states, families of symmetry-protected topological and symmetry-broken states, resource states for MBQC, states with non-Abelian symmetries, and more.

We build upon our previous work where we showed that the paradigmatic AKLT state could be prepared in constant-depth with an adaptive quantum circuit.

New paper!. We show that a broad class of matrix product states can be exactly prepared using constant-depth quantum circuits with mid-circuit measurements and feedforward. This beats out the fastest possible preparation with unitary circuits alone.

Excited to share our new work:. We show (w/ experiments included!) that the AKLT state can be deterministically prepared with a constant-depth circuit + mid-circuit measurements, a major speed-up over known methods that all require times that scale w size.

Excited to see this appear in PRX Quantum! . We show that the AKLT state -- a prototypical example of a matrix product state and a SPT phase -- can be prepared in constant depth by using midcircuit measurements and feedforward.

A class of symmetry-protected topological states relevant for measurement-based quantum computation is shown to be constructible using only constant-depth quantum circuits by leveraging symmetries, midcircuit measurements, and feed forward. @_quks_.

In addition to measurements of string order and entanglement spectra, we also carry out a quantum teleportation protocol using AKLT states prepared with our measurement-assisted algorithm.
