Tigray’s future cannot afford inaction. We are at a pivotal moment, and it's clear that silence and passivity will only allow our history to slip further into oblivion. The people who have suffered deserve more than empty words and promises – 1/n

We don't have much time at our disposal amid all uncertainties here and there. Could you please help with this?

Residents of Tigray, tired of being forced into wars, need to participate in non-violent civil resistance. Disobedience in masses, not protests etc. - coordinate a day of closing your business - coordinate a day of staying at home Authoritarianism hates coordination in masses.

In a new publication via @TC_Africa, @BirhanG_ &I argue, “When famine goes unrecorded, the suffering of entire populations is erased from the world’s moral and political map. It also weakens the mechanisms designed to prevent such atrocities elsewhere.” https://t.co/BOMuTb4sDB

Famine was weaponised as part of a broader campaign of destruction in Ethiopia’s Tigray region.

Horrific videos of atrocities in El Fasher, Sudan. RSF is not acting alone. It's supported, financed, and enabled by a whole array of countries, including Kenya, Ethiopia, Chad, South Africa, the UK, EU, USA and the main sponsor and enabler - the UAE.
Listen to my brother @AhmedKaballo, CEO and founder of African Stream, as he reflects on the crisis in Sudan. The genocide unfolding in Al Fasher is not the responsibility of the RSF alone, as many bear blood on their hands for the horrific acts we are witnessing.

The ultimate goal is for us to one day have our own term - like 'Holocaust' - for the Tigray Genocide. It’s not about telling anyone what to say, but about consistency and intention. This is a cause. If we don’t start now, when will we?
@FitwiDesta @emnet_negash @_primedfordeath @0_fxf_0 I think you can say the Holocaust. But you can also say World War II. But demanding a specific terminology persistently is counterproductive. For example, I don’t like anyone dictating my language. Specially these day, I prefer using the Tigray war. 1/2
