So. Tigray has only one option: diplomacy and advocacy. But Tegaru are fighting each other. The ruling classes and opposition parties are fighting each other as if it’s an election season. Two armed groups are rebelling. Who is doing diplomacy and advocacy?.

At least Tentewidm was a Tigrayan. ሰጓ፣ ሐፀይ
If an Agaw King from Eritrea (Blin) speaks Tigrinya vernacular, what do you call their ethnicity? Hard to say. They’re both Agaw and Tigray. FYI, no people spoke Geez vernacular since it became a literary language. Between 10th-12the century, the kings spoke Tigrinya vernacular.

On the ethnic identity of Zagwe dynasty, it’s not too obvious. There’s evidence their vernacular was Tigrinya but were based on Agaw land. To this day, many Agaws speak Tigrinya. Their jewelry and way of life is almost indistinguishable from Tigrayans.

If the Beja Kingdom of Eritrea didn’t steal our people, the Zagwe Dynasty would have been called Shemezana or Hamasien Dynasty, now that I think about it. The founder was from modern Eritrea but based in Lasta. The dynasty spoke Tigrinya but were not assigning ethnicity.

Now let’s turn into politics. Contemporary Kemant elites hate Tigray, Agaw and Amhara (totally justified in the long arch of history) but Kemant and Tigray around Gondar have been equal victims of the novel Amhara nationalism instrumentalised by fascists.
There was once a commotion in Amhara politics. 2 million people were unaccounted for (lost) which fueled Amhara genocide narratives during the Woyane regime. It was in fact qemant erasure, if not genocide, by Amhara EPRDF. Majority of Gondar are Amharized qemant fyi.

Oh. The TPLF/EPRDF regime erased them from census fyi. They’re not counted. They now refuse to be counted as Amhara. Something the “Amhara oppressors” failed to achieve. Atse Tedros is qemant fyi. The most indigenous people in the Habesha surrounding are told, “you don’t exist”.

If coins, stone inscriptions are the artifacts of Habesha history, the qemant people are the living artifacts of our ancestors (people). Our (Ethiopian and Eritrean highlands) pre Christian ancestors behaved like them. Qemant people our “fossilized ancestors”

Diving into qemant history. The most conservative people (pre Judaic faith) in the Habesha land. They’re like a treasure hidden in plain sight. It gives you a clue as to why Ashenda is celebrated as such in Habesha Orthodox but not oriental/Eastern Orthodox. 1/2.
