Minette was the biggest reason that I wanted to join the NFU as a young ambassador last year. Seeing her in action at the conference last year and during the Lord Mayors Show was so impressive. So I want to say thank you to Minette.

During her time as president @nfulife she has worked through brexit, covid, new trade deals, a war and with 3 PM and 6 Defra SOS. She has put everything into campaigning and working with a vast array of politicians, stakeholders and farmers to give us the industry we deserve.

This field in particular has had soil sludge so had alot of wheelings. We have been trying out the @meir_sc and so far are pretty happy with the job it is doing. If you have any other soil loosened/conditioners you would recommend then please DM me!.

This year however after walking around and digging various holes in tramlines, wheelings and areas of the field that had no traffic it’s clear the soil needs some attention with the top 2-3 inches very tight where it had been driven on.

Soil Loosening .-.After the wet harvest which I’m sure you don’t all need reminding about…we have to talk soil loosening. There are a lot of bad wheelings about and therefore compacted soil. Sometime you don’t need metal to take this out and you can do it with roots.

Very lucky to have had the opportunity to visit @GraemeFinn1 ranch in Alberta Canada. He is grazing cattle all year round and using swath grazing over the winter. Very inspired to go home and get my own cattle now! Next stop… Calgary Stampede!
