Leo is - as usual - spot on here with many of the fundamental shifts we’ve seen in deep tech over the last several years.
There's a misconception that it's almost impossibly hard/expensive to build deep tech co's. IMHO this is way less true than 20 yrs ago. Startups can now build amazing, hard things w/pre-seed or seed funding. I wrote a post on why deep tech is flourishing:
