You don’t just “ping” a spacecraft 22 million miles away. You aim a 32-meter dish with 0.15° precision… and a lot of hope. Here’s how we design deep-space comms that actually work— plus what Odin taught us the hard way. 📡

We build autonomous logic for our spacecraft that decides:.• What stays online.• What shuts off during a fault.• When to reallocate or reboot subsystems. This week on Roid Rage, Ashton (Head of Space Systems) and Chris (Head of Avionics) break down how we prioritize power

For Vestri, that meant putting the main structure through full vibration testing. We validate the load paths, tune the fixtures, and verify the stack months before integration day. This approach isn't extra– it’s baseline. Make the solution before it's too late.

Before anything flies, it's tested. Not once. Repeatedly. Not to pass. To iterate. Every test is a chance to catch something while it’s still fixable.

Vibe testing is where spacecraft stop being theoretical. On Roid Rage this week, Wesley from our Structures team walks us through how we’re building up Vestri to survive the shaker and why fast hardware loops beat perfect CAD. Live now. Apple → Spotify

Our dive into primary structures continues. This week, we're talking vibration testing– specifically, why we're going to shake the hell out of our hardware, and how Odin taught us to test as early as possible. Send in questions you want us to answer to mailbag@astroforge.io!

“Space economy” is a buzzword. So what’s actually real?. This week on Roid Rage, we get blunt about where the money is, why asteroid mining fits, and what still hasn’t changed since the Shuttle. Ep. 20 with Krystle Caponio breaks it down. Now live. Apple →

For everyone asking if we can move this Low Earth Orbit to make mining it easier. Psyche 16 has a mass of 2.7 x 10 ^19 kg. We need to move it by about 10km/s. You need an Impulse of 2.72 x 10^23. Falcon 9 Second stage can produce ~981KN of Impulse. So you only need 7 TRILLION.
