DeepSpace-2’s heading 20 million km away from Earth, so we’re expecting communication delays and limited contact windows. Our team implemented a chunking system for telemetry (including high-res imagery) from our selfie camera. Any file or telemetry can be sent as a stream, and a

We are not going to become a multi-planetary species unless we learn how to harvest the resources of the universe. This is how we go from living in caves to living among the stars. Thanks to @UPPartnersVC for letting our founder, @MattGialich, lay out the plan to mine the

pov you get to take pics and share the story of how @AstroForge is going to mine an asteroid our team’s looking for a seasoned space storyteller to lead our marketing efforts. how would you tackle that?

We recently pushed our insert adhesives on our flight panels to their limits to figure out their break points. It's important to get real world data to help correlate our models. Next? Time to assemble the real thing.

If you were at JPL and still want to explore the universe, we’re hiring at @AstroForge
JPL is planning another round of layoffs tomorrow, affecting 550 employees, about 11% of its workforce. (It is not, the message notes, related to the ongoing government shutdown.) https://t.co/91zoMTvP9z

we're hiring a marketing lead at @AstroForge. Ideally they have 10,000 followers on X and a personal fascination with exploring the cosmos we're actively building & launching low-cost, replicable spacecraft to mine asteroids how would you market that??

Any gain comes at the cost of precision. DS‑2’s high-gain antenna has a 0.4° beam. Miss that cone, and the link drops, no matter how strong the signal is. Hitting the 0.4° window from a spinning spacecraft in deep space demands tight coordination between RF, GNC, and software.
