I feel like I’m a writer and an athlete before everything else. Everything I do involves writing well. Comms, strategy, preparing to speak, everything. To work as much as I do, your body has to perform.

I always thought I would land on one place in my 20s, but I now see that the answer to “Where is home?” will always be complex for me, as my heart is scattered across the world. I’m not alone in this.

Everyone asks “Where are you from?” I usually answer with “New York and Dubai”, but the real answer is the world. I am constantly intrigued by all of the cultures of the world, especially eastern cultures.

I often think about this quote. A woman that I met when I first moved to New York told me this was her favourite movie and she had seen it 20+ times. I had never seen it before. It’s a fascinating and hypnotic movie.
