Don’t get me wrong, I love a big-power volt-and-bolt…⚡️⚡️⚡️ But sometimes, an easy 11kW destination top-up is just right for a trip into the town centre – especially when parking is free whilst charging. Cheers @BeEV_Charging @TraffordCouncil 💚

The best part is this was just another boring day – nothing special, not some speed record attempt, just stopped when I needed a brew and the dog needed his sniffs. Ever get told that EVs / charging aren’t there yet? Bollocks I’m afraid, listen to EV drivers, not Diesel Dave 💚

“No-one drives 500 miles in a day anyway!” 🔋 Well, I just did (519 to be exact), and unfortunately for the daily mail, no queues, no breakdowns and no fires… 🍃 4.1 mi/kWh (no hanging around) 🛞 612 mins driving ⚡️ 39 mins charging 💷 8.3p/mile Easy, as usual 🚗💨

🪫 66kWh battery and 50kW charging – embarrassing in 2025 The commercial world is the number one place where the focus should be on reducing downtime; big batteries and fast charging should be deployed here first. 150kWh+ batteries and 300kW+ charging should be the norm on vans
