Me, crying: For the love of God, you can't just point at any old building and say it's historic. 😭😭😭 SF Heritage, pointing at a Safeway: Historic.

This is rich. Connie Chan says she “built real affordable housing, not the Sacramento version that destroys our neighborhoods.” She points to new affordable housing on Geary: housing she didn’t build but *was* built using “Sacramento version” housing laws & $52M in state funds🧵

I really need a data analyst job based in SF. I know SQL well + some Python. I’ve done a variety of types of data analytics over the course of my career but my primary experience is in RevOps/BI. If you can’t hire me, could you please RT for visibility? https://t.co/8FMqC5kJ5K

@ArmandDoma The line to speak still winds out Room 400. Public comment will likely go for another hour at least. Thanks for reading.

@ArmandDoma I'm gonna have to call it here. I'm losing steam. The overflow room has less than a handful of people in it, but the hearing is still going.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 112 is a renter in District 8, in support of the rezoning. The last speaker is his wife. Bidding wars are happening for apartments. They're worried about what the future holds and outgrowing their apartment.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 111 was born in the Bay Area to immigrants. She has lived here for 7 years. SF welcomes diversity, and new housing will allow more people to live here. Not building enough housing drives displacement, which is why she supports the rezoning.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 110 has lived in SF for over 30 years. He's concerned about a lack of firefighting infrastructure in expectation of a big earthquake. His nearest fire hydrant has a white cap, so it isn't hardened against earthquakes. An emergency system must be put in before rezoning.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 109 is also a Cantonese speaker, says he's from the Sunset Chinese Cultural District. He supports building more housing, but he doesn't want to see the culture disappear with new developments. Support small businesses.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 107 is representing Self-Help for the Elderly, supports the rezoning. Family zoning would create more housing with elevators, very important for seniors.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 106 says her building was built in 1908 and people come from around the world to see it. It could be lost if it were sold and then turned into apartments. SF should continue to be a destination city.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 105 lives in D2, opposes the rezoning. She says the housing element only requires most housing to be built mostly in high resourced neighborhoods, not only there. Views of Fort Mason will be blocked by buildings on Lombard. SF is the most beautiful city in the world.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 104 is a student at SF State and is concerned it will have disproportionate effects on the Chinese residents of the Sunset and the Richmond. They may be expensive now, but they were affordable in the 90s. This plan will make homeownership impossible.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 103 is Serena Calhoun representing the SF chapter of the American Institute of Architects, in support of the rezoning. This rezoning will create a great mix of homes with benefits for the entire community.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 102 has lived in SF for 72 years, attended grammar school here. The vacant property of St. Anne will be rezoned. It should not be included or it will destroy the character of the neighborhood.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 101 lives in D1, likes having sunlight in her backyard. She doesn't think it's a luxury, is concerned with her property being upzoned. She thinks density is good but the plan needs more clarity and transparency.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 100 is here for Coalition on Homelessness. They oppose the rezoning, since it will cause rent controlled units to be replaced with luxury units.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 98 is Brooke Sampson, also on the board of the Cow Hollow Association, also opposes. Robert Holt on Ingleside Terraces Homes Association board opposes the plan, says it was an accomplishment to buy his house. RHNA goals are grossly overstated.

@ArmandDoma Commenter 97 is Barbara Heffernan, a board member of the Cow Hollow Association. She opposes the plan, cities a 48 Hills blog post by Calvin Welch. She says she's spoken to building owners who plan to evict small businesses.
