Models suffer during faster and colder moving atmospheric changes - for two reasons. 1 - Insufficient upper air (balloon) data, and 2 - Insufficient knowledge of how our atmosphere works. Instead of spending billions on the fake climate crisis, we to fix these two limitations.
Ensemble data has been blind to these stronger fronts in the extended range. Substantial stronger trends over the past 3 days with the front around the 4th/5th of September. (First 2 images old, last 2 new). The AIFS/AIFS-ENS have done a better job at seeing the continued cooler

One reason for this unexpected sequence of events is the unexpected Hunga-Tonga volcano and the resulting unprecedented heating spike - and now a global cooling trend.
A major inhibitor to TC development in the Atlantic the next 10-15 days will be a strong TUTT (Tropical Upper Tropospheric Trough), reinforced by persistent anticyclonic wavebreaking over the NE Atlantic. This is partially driven by Pacific convection as the MJO moves through.

First of all - there is no such thing as clean energies - but there are such things as economical & reliable energies - which are oil & nuclear based. Second of all - if "Climate Power" really believes what they print, then they'd provide evidence of their clean life style.
Trump’s war on clean energy means higher bills and a weaker grid. He’s killing the projects that keep our lights on and costs down.

Correct. Models struggle with cold air outbreaks, because they are tuned to follow CO2 outbreaks and not polar vortex anomalies.
The current cool pattern won’t last forever, but be very wary of medium range modeling. As I have pointed out many times before, they struggle with continental cold air masses.

Urban Heat Island is real, but corrected for in datasets and warming is still clear in oceans, poles & rural stations. The science is solid.
