Reason why over time I am trying to align with people doing just that. From @pazunre with AI, @jayanaman with talent , @kwesi_dadson ,@TheDumbTechGuy with tech evangelism. Every tweet from these persons and countless others most days is a reason to make people SEE!!.
Basic Conclusion I’ve come to is that as an African you’re told you are loud even when you’re not. So Be LOUD. Be LOUD about what you’re doing. Your strides , your efforts, don’t just do , But DOMINATE. Let them see you. Let them understand !!.

But Africans outside of Africa day in day out are showing up even within the continent. But my question is what did an entire continent do to be disregarded by the world collectively even when people from the continent prove to be exceptional.

When you hear things like Africa is one of the largest populations… largest markets etc . That’s just it I don’t think people view the continent as a powerhouse in anything but one thing a consumer market.

I remember visiting Microns Facility in Boisie. And they had this map of their plants across the world. I was hurt but I understood. They had a facility in every continent except Africa. I do this all the time ; look at companies footprints across the globe and in Africa.

I learned more about using dunders(__) in DRF to move through related fields and perform simple to complex lookups. This allowed me to essentially make queries in one line that can filter, order, and retrieve nested data seamlessly without having to write SQL😅.

I also doubled down on understanding how to work with serializers more. I got introduced to working with context in DRF and understood that sometimes we need to pass extra data to serializers for more functionality and flexibility. Essentially, tailoring responses to requests.

Following the session by @TheDumbTechGuy on JWTs. I decided to put it into practice. I worked on the auth & permissions, added JWT. Tokens are now deleted after a user logs out the payload carries user info and permissions as well.

I hit a personal milestone this week!! for ProBono phase 1. What does this mean? I have successfully completed the API endpoints I had mapped out to build. I am going to try to integrate this to a frontend now. Find what I learnt in the thread below.
I want to share some of the challenges I faced this week and how I went about solving them. 1/6. Started with a seemingly simple task: build a firm assignment endpoint. First isseu was a 404 error from a missing comma in URL patterns. Small syntax issues can cause headaches😂.
