Assoc Prof @ U of Copenhagen. Better at plots than blots. ❤️ proteins, strong feelings about many others things, too. Trying to listen & learn. She/her.

New work led by @s_gersing in @rasmushartmannp lab describes a multiplexed assay for variant effects on protein abundance for glucokinase, that together with her earlier work on GCK activity helps explain mechanisms for GCK gain & loss of function variants https://t.co/z4G4t9pV8X

Interest in predicting absolute stabilities of a protein folding? In our new work we show how a generative model for protein sequence can be used to predict absolute protein stability! https://t.co/euGayOZ9de Code: https://t.co/Xr9nNoxzuc Colab:

New preprint with @CagiadaMatteo & @sokrypton in which we present a benchmark and predictions of absolute protein stability (ΔG not ΔΔG) using using likelihoods from a generative model, and also benchmark it for conformational free energies against NMR https://t.co/B7Pp5FJQiF

It`s #EndometriosisAwarenessMonth and I find it terrible how many women are told that the symptoms "are all in their head". So often women are not taken seriously. Happy to see more women speaking up & improved patient advocacy. Fun Fact: my chest tattoo is a large uterus. 💐🫶

Great explanation by @_amelie_rocks on why we use stability predictions and evolutionary sequence analysis to identify pathogenic variants. Her lab performs high-throughput assays on protein variants to develop and improve such prediction models for variant consequences. #ABLS24

It’s #InternationalWomensDay and I took my toddler to fringes of a conference. Perhaps modelling that you can be a mom and a scientist 👩‍🔬 instead of the usual proteins. Though in fairness it’s a total coincidence, I have taken her to conferences on other dates too 😀
