My overview of the new iPad and iPad Pro lineup is up @macstoriesnet: https://t.co/URJJEj1eQQ This was a tricky one to write. None of these iPads are *bad*, in fact they’re all quite good in a vacuum. But in context of each other and the full lineup, they’re just super weird.

What is even happening
So let me get this straight: The base model iPad gets a landscape camera (yes) and a brand new Magic Keyboard Folio (yes!) with a detachable keyboard, kickstand (yes!!), and function keys (yes!!!), but the iPad *Pro* gets...none of this? 🙃

Today I met with officials in Helsinki, which has had a ~75% drop in road deaths over the last thirty years (including recent years with no ped/cyclist deaths at all). Me: “How much of a role has IT played in reducing crashes?” City official: “Zero. We simply slowed down cars.”
