It's been a minute since I've appeared as an author. but very excited for the research agenda proposed in this paper. Can't wait to see the results!.
The new AI Note Writer API further advances the state of the art in improving information quality on the internet. We’ve just published a paper along with researchers at MIT, University of Washington and more outlining the potential of this approach, new risks and challenges, and

Very excited about this launch and the coming benefits to the Community Notes ecosystem. I think the scalability of AI paired with the guidance of human oversight is going to bring a great experience to X users. 🚀.
Introducing AI Note Writer API 🤖 AI helping humans. Humans still in charge. Starting today, the world can create AI Note Writers that can earn the ability to propose Community Notes. Their notes will show on X if found helpful by people from different perspectives — just like

This feature is a game-changer for Community Notes. Historically, only CN contributors played a role in creating notes through writing and rating. Now, all X users are able to contribute by flagging posts that may benefit from added context 🔥.
You can now Request a Community Note on iOS and Android. Top Writers will see an alert when enough people have requested a note on a post.

This is great for Community Notes. Ordinarily, Notes only appear after they have time to be written and rated by contributors, but image matches appear automatically on new posts without any contributor latency.
Improved image matching will now show notes on ~30% more posts that contain similar or identical images. We just rolled out the update and will be monitoring for any erroneous image matches.

Community Notes contributors produce notes and ratings 24/7. By recognizing Helpful notes faster, this change allows more users to see and benefit from added context.
⚡Community Notes got faster, yet again. We just rolled out an optimization to the scorer that shaves 30mins of the time it takes notes to go live. Under the hood details: we moved some of the computation (e.g. the initial matrix factorization) into a prescoring step, which.

Super excited about this change to improve proposed notes, helping to make the most of Community Notes contributors time spent rating notes.
Contributors’ time is valuable and best spent reviewing high quality notes. We just rolled out an update to boost the quality of proposed notes by making it easier for accounts to lose writing ability if their notes are found Not Helpful by people from wide-ranging points of.

Very excited to launch Topic Models in Community Notes, strengthening the algorithm’s ability to surface notes found helpful by people who’ve disagreed in their past ratings.
Under the hood update: Introducing Topic Models, which improve Community Notes’ ability to identify notes that are helpful to people from different points of view. Community Notes shows notes that are found helpful by people who’ve disagreed in their past ratings. Now, it will.
