4/4 Rosebank could lead to a net tax loss of over £250 million to the UK Treasury thanks to the tax breaks for new drilling in the UK. Green Party leader Zack Polanski said that approving Rosebank would make a mockery of the UK’s climate promises & be a betrayal of young people.

3/4 Its minimal gas reserves have the potential to cut our gas import dependency by, on average, just 1% a year (under the most favourable conditions and if no gas is exported).

2/4 This oil field would produce more CO2 than the annual emissions of the 700 million people living in the world’s poorest countries produce in a year. It won’t lower bills & would do almost nothing to boost energy security in the UK, as most of it is oil destined for export.

1/4 Rosebank is a defining test of this government’s credibility on climate change. They must reject this disaster project. We have joined 250+ organisations calling on Keir Starmer to reject the controversial Rosebank oil field. @StopCambo

✍️ New article on the website 👇 What is the knowledge economy, & how does it uphold unequal North-South relations? "Capitalism renews itself by finding new frontiers to privatise. Where nature once provided the frontier, knowledge now does" https://t.co/ZX4bbZ0JCG

Those with the fewest resources will always bare the brunt of climate breakdown. In the parish of St. Elizabeth there's no infrastructure that can withstand a category 5 hurricane. Some people have only just restored their homes destroyed by the last one. https://t.co/iNh2gm8nMy

A short, but very important piece from @DivideClass "Any review into inequality is not doing its job if it only explores the lives of the poorest and fails to examine how those with privilege and power contribute to this status quo." https://t.co/OMmADiO9qo

.@Cambridge_Uni has expelled a Palestinian girl student from her accommodation after an Israeli soldier who committed genocide in Gaza complained to them he doesn't feel safe. I don't have words anymore to describe how low and racist this is.

🤯 You won't believe what this agency manager tells workers emptying bins in Birmingham! 😡 Have senior managers at a @UKLabour council really said they won't employ anyone who joins a picket line? Isn't that called #Blacklisting ? Shouldn't Labour-run @BhamCityCouncil be against

🍃 Becoming a tourist attraction often comes at the expense of local communities and the environment they depend on, but does it have to be this way? In our latest article, Staff Writer Kevin Picado writes about the impacts of the tourism industry ✍️ 👇 https://t.co/R7OrZTxJw1

Israel has banned any of the Palestinian hostages being released today, or their families, from speaking to the media. Their voices or pictures of their torture to be hidden from the world. If they do they'll murder them. This isn't a peace deal - it's further dehumanisation
