Not sure how many players are enjoying their experience at the Shanghai Masters. The humidity sounds insane but then the court is so slow and the balls reportedly are fluffing up after a couple of games too making it an incredibly tough environment for the players.

Unsure how wise it was for Fonseca to skip the Aisian swing. Missed opportunities. I wonder if he has had second thoughts about taking part in the Laver Cup instead?

Imagine when Fonseca was a young junior - he would have dreamt about becoming a pro and dreamt about making the main draws of 250s, 500s and most definitely the Masters events - now he is snubbing them....at just 19yrs Sometimes players lose focus and forget about their dreams
Interesting scheduling for a 19 year old in his first full season on the ATP Tour ngl One would think the priority is to get seeded for the Australian Open and build that match toughness & grind. Time will tell if this approach for long term dividends pays for the🇧🇷

A reminder that Swiatek was banned for 4wks for failing a drugs test. Hewitt was banned for 2wks for pushing an anti doping volunteer. I'm keen to know how the ITIA calculated that a failed drugs test is equivalent to two pushes. This is crazy.

A reminder that the ITIA recently banned Hewitt for two weeks for pushing an anti doping volunteer and yet initially decided not to ban Sinner at all after failing TWO blood tests. Is the ITIA fit for purpose?

Reading about 'the enhanced games' to be held next May in Vegas. Athletes are allowed to use PEDs. Tennis isnt on the list of sports to be included yet however with reports of players failing drugs tests do you think it should be?

An interesting read. Ben talks about how lots are turning their backs on sport as the anti doping agencies do not have the resources to ensure everyone is on a level playing field. Certainly seeing this in tennis.

The ITIA initially gave no ban to Sinner for failing TWO blood tests and yet have banned Hewitt for 2wks for pushing an anti doping volunteer. The ITIA system seems to be not quite right

So..... Hewitt receives a two week ban for pushing an anti doping volunteer and yet.. Swiatek receives a 4wk ban for actually failing a drugs test and... Sinner receives a 12wk ban for actually failing TWO drugs tests! Is this not quite bizarre?

When people tell you that Djokovic is 'past it' or 'should retire now' please remind them that he is the ONLY player in the last 6yrs to reach the SF in all 4 GSs in the same year. Oh...and in this time period he did it 3 times. ...and he was aged 34, 36 and 38yrs old

Nike's share of the global sportswear market has declined dropping to 14% by early this year. With more and more fans turning their backs on this sport and certain players there's a real possibility that they could lose significantly more.

Hate to see this and wish Shelton a quick recovery. He is in form and had potential to go very deep into the US Open. Goes to show how damn difficult it is to win a GS - let alone 24 of them.

I have no doubt that the US Open mixed doubles format will not be taken up by the other slams. I wouldnt be surprised if they scrap this exhibition format for next year. Its been a complete mockery of a Grand Slam. The Grand Slams are the pinnacle of our sport. This wasnt
