Outstanding week of science in beautiful Ebberup, Denmark! Fun to team up with Jakob @Alphacell_metab to teach the liver-alpha cell axis. Enjoyed @VanderbiltMPB and Dean lab graduate student @_Jade_Stanley's poster too. Many new friends. Tak, @DDEA_Denmark! Farvel!
What an Amazing Week at the DDEA Summer School! 🌞 What was your favourite part? 💡 A huge thank you to our participants, speakers, workshop leaders and organisers for making this Summer School such a great experience – and to the sun for shining all week. See you next year!🚀

I presented my research in a poster session at this years’s DDEA summer school! Posters are my favorite form of science communication because it provides more of an environment for discussion! I enjoy debating the role of alpha cells in glycemic regulation and hormone secretion!

What an honor it was to present my work at the Midwest Islet Club meeting this year and to be recognized as one of the winners for best abstract presentation. Trainee focused meetings such as these help to foster a great community for growth and opportunity! I enjoyed my time!

It was an absolute pleasure to write this review ( https://t.co/EEk7bm03os) with @deanlab8 @JamesCantleyLab. We discuss alpha cell metabolism, and the regulation of glucagon secretion. Great work by Sarah L Armour and Jade E Stanley.

Since the discovery of glucagon 100 years ago, the hormone and the pancreatic islet alpha cells that produce it have remained enigmatic relative to insulin-producing beta cells. Canonically, alpha...
