In the midst of challenges im deciding to take care of myself. I have 1 yr until I put in my tenure file and I'm not planning to be burnt out crossing that finish line. Today I'm going home and I left my laptop locked away at lab. I think I can make this a rule. not exception.

We were just quoted a tariff surcharge on a service contract. Like wtf. The surcharge on everything else has made already expensive research reagents almost doubled the cost. What are we doing?.

So I'm currently on Fakecation. Visiting family and having a good time while working in spurts during select times. I'll def completely unplug a couple days but I vacation best by not having work pile up. Returning to stress stresses me out. Lol.
