Last night’s Covert Cocktails at the @IntlSpyMuseum was a powerful reminder that service, seen and unseen, still matters. Honored to stand watch at the Virginia Hall exhibit, whose legacy continues to inspire. #SpyMuseum #NatSec #Trust.

It is hard to understand why the Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR) wasn’t exempt from State Department RIFs. INR is not only one of the smallest members of the U.S. intelligence community, but one of the most trusted. Known for its deep expertise, non-politicized.

In Denmark’s largest FB group on asthma/eczema, 52% of behavior-change advice was misleading—esp. around exercise & diet. Peer support ≠ quality info. We need better infrastructure. That’s what @TIMCooperative is building.

Today we honor Juneteenth and the enduring strength of the African-American community. It’s a reminder that freedom, justice, and equality exist because generations fought for them and kept moving the line forward. Days like this call us to keep doing the work. #Juneteenth.

Gatekeeping isn’t the problem. Losing standards is. Chris Myers Asch makes the case for why peer review still matters, and what’s at risk without it. We need to rethink what real accountability looks like.

We’re not losing the information war because others are stronger. We’re losing ground because we’ve stopped showing up. This week’s Building Our Future breaks down what happens when public defenses fall — and why it’s up to all of us now. #InformationIntegrity #DigitalTrust.

A kid sees 20 space aliens in sunglasses. They’re told: “All zorpies have 3 eyes.” So they start checking—lifting sunglasses, one by one. Turns out: even 4-year-olds instinctively fact-check. #FactCheck #media #news @sciam .

Fact-checking is on the decline—offices are closing, media coverage is shrinking, and trust continues to shift. At Trust in Media, we’re thinking about how to rebuild systems that people actually want to trust. 📖 #TrustInMedia #MediaLiteracy.

AI can model climate risks, optimize energy, monitor forests. But it also guzzles power and forces harder questions. This Earth Day, I’m thinking about prosocial AI—built with people + planet in mind. #EarthDay #EarthDay2025. #EarthDay #AI.

Spoke at #GeoTech2025 last week about what Wild Bill Donovan might do with AI today. One question stuck with me: “Are we shaping the future, or just reacting to it?”. Feels like the right thing to keep asking—no matter your field. #AI #Intelligence
