We have decided not to hold 2024 ICAWC, which was due to be held in Bucharest later this year, while we carry out a thorough review of the event, to ensure we are delivering the maximum impact to continue to work towards a better world for our furry friends.

And that's a wrap, #ICAWC #ICAWC23 was both educational & inspiring. We learned that all stake holders have challenges when it comes to animal welfare / funding / rehoming / disaster recovery / inoculation / space, but we all strive for the betterment of these important

SAVED BY A DOG’S NOSE 💛 Linda from REDOG, a volunteer organisation in Switzerland that trains search dogs, gave an inspiring talk about their dogs. “The dog is still number one at finding living people quickly. The hope of finding survivors relies on dogs.” 🐕🐾

Kicking off with @drscottym’s keynote speech. He shared his experience as a vet, treating animals across Australia during wildfires and floods, as well as his work in Ukraine during the war. “Animals don’t have a voice. We need to give them that.” #ICAWC #ICAWC23

Our final speaker of the day, Sara Turetta from @SavetheDogsSTD discusses homelessness in Milan. Inspired by @streetvetuk, she launched Friends on the Streets, Companions for Life - the 1st of its kind in Italy providing free vet services, neutering, and treatment 🐾🫶🏼 #ICAWC
