We get it. Climate conversations can sometimes feel overwhelming. But the climate crisis isn’t going away. 30 x 30 is a global agreement to conserve at least 30 % of the earth by 2030. Read more about how we can achieve that both globally and locally. ⬇️ https://t.co/by4syQGQQy

We know it’s difficult to witness little progress being made to address the ongoing losses & damage brought on by climate change, but showing your support can really make an impact. When enough people show their representatives that an issue matters the status quo changes.

Right whales are filter feeders, consuming up to 2,000 pounds of tiny organisms daily. Without a consistent food source, they’re forced to travel farther, and exhaustion is taking its toll on their reproductive capacity.

The North Atlantic right whale is one of those species. Warming waters & changing ocean currents are severely impacting the abundance of their primary food source—copepods. As their nutrient source shifts, their migration patterns, mating habits & breeding seasons are disrupted.

Giraffes are facing new extinction threats thanks to extended drought & human wildlife conflict to preserve scarce resources. Our Room to Roam initiative works to connect habitats & give wildlife easier access to food & water even during dry seasons. ⬇️

Allowing that panic to be the reason we throw in the towel, proclaiming that this calamity is inevitable, is the only sure-fire way to make that statement unequivocally true. We cannot lose hope in the solutions that are actively and effectively changing Earth’s course right now.

Climate anxiety is no longer the stranger we wish it was. As the climate crisis continues to decimate the places we love, our fears for the future have no choice but to grow. Yet, this daunting feeling can have a dangerous consequence—inaction. Photo: © Wild is Life

We need 60 ratifications for the Treaty to become international law and support the global target to safeguard at least 30% of the ocean by 2030. Encourage your government to act swiftly to protect the high seas:

A year ago, the #HighSeasTreaty opened for signatures at the UN. Since then, over 90 countries have signed and 8 have ratified 👏 Now it's time for others to join the #RaceForRatification!

Diversity is the key to protecting life on land & under the sea. The ocean is home to some of the most unique species, provides us with oxygen to breathe & is a source of peace and inspiration. Every wave connects us, no matter where we call home, and our ocean is in crisis.
