This went out to the entire county. In 15 minutes, my spouse and I got our 7 week old baby, two disabled parents, and 15 year old dog packed and out the door. Incompetent idiots, causing panic in already panicked realities. So fucking tired right now.
Great, now Los Angeles is sending accidental “false alarm” evacuation notices to millions of people. Scared the shit out of me.

This is such good reporting from the @harvardcrimeson: There are about 27,000 high schools in the U.S. Over the past 15 years, 1 in 11 students at Harvard have come from just 21 high schools. So 9.1% of Harvard students come from 0.07% of US schools. @nytdavidbrooks

The real story is not Michigan’s DEI offices, it’s the fact that ~10% of Michigan’s students come from the top 1% of the income distribution, 66% of students from the top 20%. Michigan is the LEAST socioeconomically diverse highly selective public university in the United States.

I am a professor and I really like doing teaching, research, and service work. But sometimes I feel like most of what I do is actually not teaching, research, OR service. It is emails and paperwork. Gah.

Routledge apparently unpublished this book due to a legal threat from Boaventura de Sousa Santos, accused under a pseudonym in 1 of the chapters. Since its publication, at least 2 more women have come forward, claiming similarity to the case described. Sick stuff from Routledge.
In March last year @ErinPritchard15 & i edited a book & it was published. Today, it is now unpublished, it has been silenced &we have received a reversion of rights. Im proud of this collection, of everyone who wrote a chapter, the bravery of every single author. We will be back.

Ok, Columbia is no longer a reputable university.
Columbia University will now mandate that all new students and faculty go through an orientation that states anti-Zionism is antisemitism. The plan, which was not announced in any direct communications by Columbia, was revealed by an Israeli newspaper article. - @theintercept
