The SEC has never missed the CFB Playoff with a 8 game conference schedule. If/when you remove divisions, you can rotate the schools much better than the previous set up Why remove flexibility & add a guaranteed loss for half the league unless the literal payoff is worth it?

Pac-12 went to 9 league games in 2006. Big 12 did in 2011 and Big Ten in 2016. Some will cite a lack of national titles in those leagues. The SEC teams that won titles would still have won with 9 SEC games. Georgia and Texas A&M have played once since 2009. Stop the nonsense.
