The inside of the Starbucks vs the 10+ cars waiting in the drive thru. The grip the car has on culture and how it’s almost always perceived to be the most convenient option.

This is not necessarily true. Most drive thru restaurants have a timer for both internal and external orders. Both are prioritized the same and the goal is to be very fast. The performance goals for these workers are like 90-160 seconds.

No they don’t lol. It’s a always been a first come first served on the orders. The issue though is that with the lack of staffing now, the same person handling cash in side is the same handling orders at the drive through which creates even more wait time on both ends.

That’s not really true, but even if it was, you’re still queue-jumping all the people who haven’t gotten to the speaker yet. My car is annoying to turn off (I have a sound system that I need to manually pair my phone to) but I’ll often save *minutes* (and gas!) by going inside.

You’re right. I was in there one time and I waited and waited but they were busy with drive thru. I placed an order on the app and my drink was there in about 5 mins
