Today I gave the opening lecture of the MSc in Neuroscience Course at the brand new Life and Mind Building (LaMB) on History of Neuroscience at Oxford. This was a historic event itself; the very first teaching session in the new building.

Professor Norman Saunders @UniMelb was an outstanding colleague, collaborator and mentor and we are greatly saddened by the news of his passing shared with us by Melbourne University. Norman’s distinguished career spanned more than five decades of research, teaching, and service.
