Welp, my little book on fatherhood is officially out, y'all!. Just received my author copies in the mail yesterday. Pretty cool to see it finally in book form after all the work that went into it. If you're interested, it's only $14 on Amazon 🙂 —

This makes it seem like it was so straightforward. 1. Foursquare Church (1992–2011).2. Nondenom Evangelical (2011–2018).3. Foursquare Church (2018–2021).4. Roman Catholic Church (2021–) [& in an ecumenical marriage so continuing to go to a nondenom evangelical church].
I think I've got these years right . 1) Southern Baptist, 2003-2010.2) Atheist, 2010-2014 (still attended Southern Baptist Church from 2010-2013).3) Episcopal Church, 2014-2024 (attended Scottish Episcopal Church 2022-2024).4) Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (2024-Now).

"I know this disparity well—the gulf between the merely biological reality of being a father versus the deeper reality of it.". Very grateful for this thoughtful, provocative, and yes, at times critical review of my fatherhood book from @TerenceJSweeney.

Took me till I was 30 to realize my family literally couldn't pay the bills on my alt-ac career, all my friends had sold out to work for SaaS companies & other such bullshit, & I desperately needed to do something different that didn't also feel like selling my soul to capitalism.
Younger Americans have no hope. “My experience since graduating college has been an absolute slap in the face, and I did everything right— I will never afford a house. I will never afford kids in this country. Like what are we doing”. This has to change, and nobody in power cares

Breaks for sure. It's hard enough for me just to finish one book cuz I almost always get bored before I finish and then resist the urge to move onto something else before I'm done. Unless, of course, it's just not a good book or it ends up not interesting me much. Then I move on.
