I grew up in conservative Pennsylvania and still deal with the emotional repercussions of that. I visit my family in the states all the time, including my young niece and nephews who will grow up in the mess we’ve made for them.

The truth is I feel profound guilt regarding my vote for someone I believe to be complicit in genocide, and anger over the choice I was asked to make. I’m petrified of my candidate losing, but I also think the celebration of her potential victory will make me lose my mind.
