Due to COVID 19, schools were closed (since March 24). As part of mitigating the learning losses, @MoPSEZim with support from education partners is rolling out a number of remote learning interventions. Among these is the Radio Lessons Programme. @Tauya01 @IdentitiesH @ZNCWC

1./ Exciting times indeed! We are celebrating the birth of a new model in Zimbabwe. The “Coaching Boys into Men” (CBIM) represents a new strategic direction to take in addressing gender disparities in communities and other related social challenges we face today.

@IdentitiesH @MuronzwaLameck @robohchere @ARTUZ_teachers @ZNCWC @vanyaradzayi @Tauya01 @tagalife It’s certainly their role, to do for people what they can’t do for themselves, yet government has failed to do that for years. Rural schools record 0 percent pass rate why - no books, no teachers no learning.

All schools shld be fully digitalised if we are to realise some form of universality in online learning. #covid19talkwithnyari

@IdentitiesH @tagalife @RozariaConnects @ShamwariyeMwana @GwenTrust @bbmhlanga @ecozim @ZNCWC @OxfaminZim @WCOZIMBABWE The adoption of policies and laws which protect and promote women's rights including education is crucial BUT insufficient and non transformative if they are not implemented, monitored and actions taken to address the underlying causes of inequalities and discrimination.

@IdentitiesH @tagalife @RozariaConnects @ShamwariyeMwana @GwenTrust @bbmhlanga @ecozim @ZNCWC @OxfaminZim @WCOZIMBABWE It makes me angry that we have normalised the suffering of the african woman/black woman in general. The rhetoric speaks to acknowledge our plight however I do not see enough tangible action. I think investing in educating the african girl child is the 1st step

@IdentitiesH Inequalities of opportunity for children, especially those in resource poor settings has life long impact as it tilts the bar against them. It is an injustice to have embedded discrimination in education and learning opportunities based on class.

@MuronzwaLameck @IdentitiesH @MoPSEZim @tagalife @ARTUZ_teachers @ZNCWC @RozariaConnects @UNICEFZIMBABWE @SaveChildrenZIM @unescoROSA @robohchere @Tauya01 @TatendaTahla definitely, in this age and era, our schools should have reliable source of energy, proper connectivity to internet, and adequate equipment. How do schools teach ICT without the basic infrastructure and tools

@FariraiG @vanyaradzayi @MuronzwaLameck @IdentitiesH @robohchere @ARTUZ_teachers @ZNCWC @Tauya01 @tagalife Sadly there is disinvestment in schools, government just issue directives to schools and not care how they are funded. When schools ask for resources government does not avail.
