Grateful to Aage V. Jensen’s Foundation for supporting Zackenberg with new vehicles for our #construction work in 2025! The vehicles arrived by ship to Daneborg in August, followed by helicopter sling transport from #Arktisk Kommando, Joint Arctic Command.

Zackenberg Research Station is officially closed for the season 2024! The last crew departed on September 18, with windows and doors secured for the coming winter. The station will open again in Spring 2025 - more info will be available on the website later this year.

New equipment alert! We've installed a brand new incubator in our already crowded old wetlab at Zackenberg, generously donated by @Thomas Roslin. With a new building on the horizon in a few years, we're excited to expand our lab facilities and make room for further lab equipment.

It's not often a military helicopter is in the area, but thanks to the incredible support from #ARKTISK#KOMMANDO - Joint Arctic Command, our new vehicles arrived, and heavy waste, including an old generator, was transported out of the station through multiple sling operations.

Change brings new colors to our station! We've completed the move of our storage shelters, adding a fourth one to our capacity. Although they're all "plain white" by order, they're refreshingly and safely colored in their own way 😊! #Logistics
