Seeing how this fandom has changed my life and has been one of the best things to have happened to me, it really hits deep when people are now using us for views and money to give literally nothing in return besides maybe their naked body for a 20$ subscription.
Questioning sincerity is not the same as gatekeeping. Join the fandom as you wish, but if someone asks about your interests and you have the digital equivalent of a blank stare, let's not be surprised when people find motivations dubious.
