The UK Railways Bill going through the House of Commons today does nothing to address the decades of underfunding of Welsh railways. Plaid Cymru is clear: Welsh rail should be in Welsh hands. It’s time to end this injustice and devolve rail to Wales.

Today (9 Dec) is the 2nd reading of the GB Railways Bill at Westminster. It fails to address Wales primary issues: lack of control AND lack of funding. @guardian @FT @CogitamusPA @BBCWalesNews @businesslive @NationCymru @RAIL @RailProMag @ITVWales https://t.co/62kyx0EXzr

Irrespective of whether this kind of parochial nationalism tickles your fancy or not, the one amendment that this Rail Bill needs is to fully devolve the rail network and Barnettised funding to Wales, as in Scotland. #Senedd26 https://t.co/2kcbyLwSXg

The UK Govt excuse that they ‘couldn’t reclassify' HS2 as it was a decision made by the Conservatives in govt could potentially have been viable. Instead they have doubled-down on the original sin to save money at Wales’s expense. @LibDemDavid doing great work highlighting this

❗️BREAKING ❗️New research by @LibDemDavid has shown Wales is set to miss out on a further £1.6 billion in transport funding. Labour are ripping Wales off and expecting us to be grateful for it. This May, vote for the Welsh Liberal Democrats to end the Great Welsh Train Robbery

The UK is the 6th largest economy in the world. A wealth built on the back of the work of industrial heartlands like Wales. Yet Wales has 1 in 3 children in poverty, and decades even centuries of hardship and high poverty. So where is the money we helped to make? It's not in

Anger as major Liverpool - Hull rail link designated as '#EnglandAndWales' project. I have been highlighting #NorthernNetworkRail for some time. @UKLabour - #Cymru will get £6billion extra total. @LibDems - Cymru has lost £6billion just on rail. @YesCymru https://t.co/GoCYLflwxG

HS2 a nawr HS3 – Mae Lladrad Mawr y Rheilffyrdd yn parhau… Cymru i dalu £1.6 biliwn arall tuag at rheilffyrdd yn Lloegr! Pam? Gan fod rheilffordd newydd Lerpwl–Hull wedi’i labelu’n brosiect “Lloegr a Chymru”, er nad oes yr un fodfedd o drac yn croesi i Gymru. Mae’n brawf

The UK Railways Bill may work for England, but it leaves Wales shackled to a broken system. No devolution. No fair funding. No control over our own network. Once again it’s ‘For Wales, see England.’ It’s time to devolve rail infrastructure to Wales.

HS2 now HS3 - The Great Welsh Train Robbery rolls on… Wales is to fork out another £1.6 billion towards railways in England! Why? Because the new Liverpool–Hull line has been labelled an “England and Wales” project, despite not a single centimetre of track coming into Wales.
