In September, the average rate of civilian harm in Israeli bombings in Yemen surged to over 32 civilian casualties per strike.
Civilian casualties in Israeli strikes in Yemen doubled in September. @YemenData recorded 427 civilian casualties. 103 were children. The deadliest strike killed 38 including 31 journalists. Civilian harm rates in Israeli strikes remain unprecedented in 10+ years of monitoring.

We recorded 102 civilian casualties in two strikes on 24 Aug: a strike on a YPC fuel station creating a massive fire ball and a further strike on Hizyaz power station. The two incidents killed 10 civilians, injured 92. Israel has bombed Hizyaz power station six times in 9 months.

The month was marked by the first reported targeted assassinations by Israel in Yemen. Israel assassinated the Sana’a-based PM, 11 ministers and cabinet officials in a 28 Aug. strike, deploying up to 10 munitions on the gathering of political figures.
