A Canadian public university is being dismantled today: Sudbury's Laurentian University (was a) northern university that served many communities, including Indigenous and Francophone. Shame on the Province, LU Board of Governors and its Admin.

I think advertising and showcasing Canadian music remains prevalent. As a new comer to Canada, I hadn't been exposed to this much Canadian music as I have in the past. This allows room to recognize Canadian talents and serves as a support crutch for new artists #MUS2011W21

I disagree with Wald's take on covers. Covers have play an essential role in helping emerging characters and talents break out as can be seen from TV Shows like X-Factor and social media apps such as Tik Tok and Instagram. Covers have become a way to flex versatility. #MUS2011W21

Music covered for the sole purpose of pleasing white audiences is cultural theft. The oversimplification and undermining of the original version of the song is disciminatory, and could be considered illegal today. It is classified as schlock due to the lack of talent. #MUS2011W21

I believe music has generally become more accessible to the avg person. Specific genres of music such as Opera used to exist for the elite. The fact that all the digital library of music (i.e. Spotify) can exist for everyone to listen to, shows how far we have come. #MUS2011W21
